Your reviews from the Marquee

Last Friday Shayne rocked Cork’s Marquee Club and you guys have been posting your reviews in the forum. From the sounds of things it was one of Shayne’s best gigs ever!

Here’s what you all had to say…

Wow, it was such an amazing night! Some of us forum girlies got to meet Shayne, who was as lovley as always! This was one of the best gigs I have ever been to! I loved the Irish songs he did, and I thought ‘One’ was just unreal. Also, when he bought a little girl up on stage, I thought it was sooo cute. He got a fantastic reception and really good comments in the newspaper. It was great to meet up with the girlies! We had a great time!

This gig, for me, was one of the best of all time! To see and hear Shayne sing in such a basic format was superb. He doesn't need anything else. His voice does it all! My faves of the night were ‘Wild Rover’ and ‘One’. Phoebe came into her own here...I love her voice and the way they sang this together...goosebumps!! Shayne looked very happy to be back on stage. So confident, at ease in himself, in fine form and there was lots of to-die-for smiles.

Were you there? Let us know what you think in the forum and make sure you check out everyone’s photos here!

my last comment was really long and said there was spam on it. but anyway this was the best concert you have ever done and i loved your version of halo and the song by U2 was amazing. You never fail to impress me with your perfection lol. I probably shouldn't say this but my friend never really liked you that much but i made her come and at the end she was roaring crying about how amazing you were and how it was the best concert she had ever been to lol i think i converted her to a big shayne fan!! ha ha. You have my poster it says i love you Shayne and it has loads of pictures of you on it! well thats really all i cant think of but that was the best concert you have ever done and it was great to see you again! come back really soon please!! i miss you so much already!! lol you should come to Thomond park he he! that would be cool! i miss you Shayne and i love you so much! thanks for giving me the best day of my life again! lol

Blog: Sport Relief and my aching legs

Hi guys,

Bit of sad news today. As some of you know I was looking forward to taking part in the Manchester Mile run for Sport Relief. But unfortunately I've knackered my legs in training and have had to pull out. I'm gutted. Right now I'm waiting for a masseuse to come round and sort me out - I couldn't even get myself down the stairs today, it's so painful. I go to the gym all the time but I was working with a trainer on my legs, doing drills and power lifting moves and it's just shocked my body.

I was hoping, since it's only a mile I could be pulled along on a skateboard or carried on people's shoulders, that would be fun to watch but I don't think it's allowed. Or since the run goes through Coronation St I could just stay in the Rovers Return with a pint, though I don't think the beer's real.

But I am really gutted I won't be able to do this for Sport Relief. Perhaps I could train myself up for the Marathon instead, I'd love to do that. I'd like to do it like Gordon Ramsay does it - full on. You can't do these things by half. God knows what my time would be, though.

Fingers crossed I feel better soon and I'm sure I'll have lots more to tell you when my legs are working!

Speak soon

Lots of love

Shayne  X
